Art for the People Gallery

After recovering the gallery space from what used to be a tattoo parlor Deanna's Art for the People Gallery helps the most needy members of our community to experience their own transformation. They are passionate about many causes but first on their list is the termination of homelessness through their Mobile Arts and Wishes program and by supporting the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Community First Village.

Deanna is Volunteer co-director Art House Mobile Loaves and Fishes. She is currently working directly with 9 homeless and formerly artists through Mobile Loaves and Fishes providing opportunities by providing work space and supplies in addition to fostering creative expression, emotional and community support while providing and assisting in sales of art to help individuals have a chance for a better future.

Community First! Village

Community First! Village

Community First! Village is a 27-acre master-planned community that will provide affordable, sustainable housing and a supportive community for the disabled, chronically homeless in Central Texas.

Jeff and Deanna Serra will be with the 2015 Libby Malone Community Leader of the Year Award Recipients November 17. Longtime Austin philanthropists, the Serras are recognized most recently for their transformational support around the complex issue of homelessness. Through passionate pursuit of what’s possible and by bringing together their individual mission with the resources needed to make it happen, Jeff and Deanna are leading the charge to break the cycle of chronic homelessness.
