What started out as Art Therapy in the hospital to help with pain management, quickly turned into a passion for Makayla as she realized she had the ability to share her Courage, Faith, and Love through paint and creativity.
Makayla's ability to show Strength in spite of her illness has inspired all who know her and all who hear her story. Her hope is to share a little piece of her heart with everyone she meets and all who take home a piece of her artwork.
I choose joy even when I'm scared.
After all that we’ve been through and as our journey continues, I can wholeheartedly say, Makayla is absolutely the living example what Strength looks like. She is the strongest person I know. - Makayla's Mom Alaina
