Arc of the Arts Visit

Arc of the Arts has their Winter Art Show tomorrow. 4902 Grover TX Austin TX 6-8 PM. I dropped off canvases, brushes and palette knives at the Arc of the Arts Studio and took this photo with some of the artists and instructors.

The Arc has an art show each quarter. The winter show is filled with Christmas art. I've know many of these artists for over a year now and I see progress in the artists.

The Arc Studio Arc of the Arts Studio & Gallery provides an artistic bridge between people with developmental disabilities and the community. They teach a variety of art forms to individuals with developmental disabilities. The artists sell their exceptional art in the gallery and also receive pre-employment skills training. In addition, they have museum-like souvenir items, featuring reproductions of some of our clients’ popular artwork via high quality prints.

The mission of The Arc of the Capital Area is to provide personalized, community-based services that improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (i.e., autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome), and their caregivers. The Arc is viewed as the go-to organization for people with disabilities in Central Texas, and the most instrumental organization at increasing the self-sufficiency of people with disabilities, developing and strengthening the care-giving abilities of their families, and promoting community awareness of disability issues. They offer a full array of services to more than 2,000 adults, children and families a year.
