Share Art Heal is Bringing Art to the Austin Police Dept. Summer Youth Leadership Program
Share Art Heal is bringing art to Austin Police Dept. Office of Community Liaison Summer Youth Leadership Program. This is a free month long summer program for middle school students. This program has changed lives. Kids come back year after year. Share Art Heal is proud to bring the art!
On the morning of June 22 the 75 middle school students will be creating art. We'll start with a blank canvas and by lunch they will have created a piece of art to proudly take home.
After lunch we're doing a service project, assembling Share Art Heal Art Experience Kits for Dell Children's Medical Center and he Soldiers at Ft. Hood. The kids will present the Art Experience Kits they make to Elizabeth Hendley, Dell Children's Art Therapist.
The last 3 days of camp will be spent at Ft. Hood living in the barracks, shadowing Soldiers while they work, and learn about careers. During lunch the APD campers will present the Share Art Heal Art Experience Kits they made to the Soldiers at Ft. Hood. So awesome!
We're thrilled to participate in the Austin Police Dept. Office of Community Liaison Summer Youth Leadership Program bringing four of our donees together, Blue Santa + Dell Children's Medical Center + Ft. Hood's Resiliency Art Room and AGE of Central Texas. That is Share Art Heal in action!
