Veteran's Day

On Veteran's Day we honor the people who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Thank you to all the women and men who have served our nation. We are grateful for your service. To show our support for all military throughout the year Share Art Heal does what we do: We provide art supplies and instruction with the intended purpose of exposing them to the healing experience of creating art.

We act locally. We are from Austin Texas so we've adopted the Resiliency Art Room at Ft. Hood as our local military recipient of art supplies. We've been sending canvas, paints, brushes and our Art Experience Kits since we were founded in 2014. This Veterans Day the Art Resiliency Room at Ft. Hood will receive a big box of markers, colored pencils, sketchbooks, glue sticks, scissors and our Art Experience Kits. There were also a few of our new Coloring Postcard Books in the box.

Did you know the US Army is using art to heal PTSD with Soldiers and their families?

Ft. Hood was one of the first bases to implement the US Army Arts & Crafts Initiative: "Resiliency through Art" initiative.
