Share Art Heal is Bringing Austin Together
Share Art Heal is bringing Austin communities together. Our first delivery of 2017 was Share Art Heal Coloring Card art kits to Dell Children's Medical Center. You'll be amazed at how many community groups are connected through our art kit process. We'll keep track by counting (like this).
Austin Police Department (1) provides a free month long Summer Youth Leadership Program at Kealing Middle School, AISD (2) each June. Share Art Heal brings Austin Artists (3) and art supplies to the camp each week. The students (4) created artwork for our Coloring Cards. Our Coloring Card art kits are delivered monthly to Dell Children's Medical Center (5). The same cards also go to Soldiers at Ft. Hood (6) and seniors with Alzheimer's and memory loss at AGE of Central Texas (7).
The Share Art Heal art kits are assembled by community partners. The kits delivered to Dell Children's this week were assembled by the actors of A Working Group at Brock/Allen Casting (8). In December we delivered 1000 Coloring Cards art kits with a full box of Crayolas to Operation Blue Santa (9). Those kits were assembled by Team Members of Whole Foods Market (10).
The student artwork is so good that we published it, The Share Art Heal Coloring Postcards Book. The students of APD's Summer Youth Leadership Program are now published artists! Our Coloring Postcards Book is sold at The Tree House Gift Shop (11) at Dell Children's Medical Center and Art For the People Gallery (12).
That right there is 12 community groups that come together through Share Art Heal Coloring Card art kits. We are expanding to include others. Is your group organization or business interested in assembling Share Art Heal art kits? Would your group, or non profit benefit from receiving art kits?
