Austin ISD MLK Celebration and Day of Service

Share Art Heal provided a service opportunity, assembling Super Hero Coloring Card art kits and Origami kits for the City of Austin Congregate Meal Program. The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department partners with Meals on Wheels and More for the delivery of congregate meals to recreation and senior activity centers through out Austin. The program is open to anyone 60 years of age or older. In addition to lunch, participants share social and recreational activities and receive additional benefits such as nutrition education, health and welfare counseling and information and referral services.

The City of Austin Congregate Meal Program operates at 7 Parks and Recreation facilities and 1 Neighborhood Center -

Alamo Recreation Center

Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center

Dove Springs Recreation Center

Gustavo "Gus" L. Garcia Recreation Center

Metz Recreation Center

South Austin Neighborhood Center-Durwood

South Austin Senior Activity Center
