Thank You Art for the People Gallery & Artisan Market

I am grateful. Share Art Heal received a gift of $1300 from Art for the People, 5% of the sales from the Art of Celebration Exhibition. This year 66 artists participated in the Art of Celebration making the gallery's 3rd annual event the largest to date. Thank you to all the artists and Art for the People for donating 5f% of the proceeds from the sale of artwork sold to Share Art Heal.

I met the AFTP team when Share Art Heal held our 1st Year Celebration at the gallery. We've been working together ever since. For 3 year Share Art Heal has been the recipient of a gift of a percentage of the sale of artwork sold during their annual Art of Celebration Exhibition. Thank you AFTP and artists!

Art for the People has hosted our Art Kit Days quarterly for 2 years. Join us for our next Art Kit Day Saturday June 15th 12:00 - 2:00. We're assembling Origami art kits. It's free.

Art for the People is selling the artwork created by the students of the Austin Police Department Youth Leadership Program. Share Art Heal brings art projects and local artists throughout June to the free month long APD program. Last summer Elizabeth Hendley, Dell Children's Art Therapist led a print making class with the APD students then Jet Baker, Dee Gonzales and a team of students took the prints and created Our Hearts mini frames and greeting cards. The Our Hearts mini frames and greetings cards sold well at the gallery and the money raised from the sale of the artwork goes to the support the free month long APD program for middle school students. Our Hearts were discovered by the the world famous Miraval, Our Hearts are sold in the gift shop at Mirival Austin Spa And Resort. I will be presenting a check to the students for the artwork sold next week when the 2019 APD camp begins. Good job students and thank you again Art for the People!
